About Autism Parents Initiative
At Autism PI, we take a distinct approach compared to typical autism organizations that focus primarily on support and diagnosis after the fact. Our mission centers on cataloging complications during pregnancy and childbirth that can result in hypoxic or traumatic brain injury—the true underlying causes of autism. We believe that once these circumstances are clearly documented, early diagnosis will naturally follow.
Our goal is to address the obstetric mistakes that contribute to autism in children. We aim to enable legal action in cases of egregious birth injuries, particularly those related to the misuse of Pitocin, which can lead to brain damage. By advocating for accountability, we hope to enhance the standard of care in hospitals and improve prenatal practices. Ultimately, we strive to reduce or eliminate the factors during pregnancy and childbirth that can lead to autism.

An organization of Autism parents and well wishers
We are a research non-profit established with the goal of eliminating incidence of autism from medical malpractice and advocate for research into brain damage recovery. As parents going through the autism journey at various levels of functioning, we believe our collective experience and observation is a treasure trove far more powerful than the limited research that has been done on the neurodevelopmental disorders we call autism that have been written off as arising from 'unknown' genetic causes, while brain damage at birth, has been obvious to many of us all along.
We believe 90% of all autism in the United States is not genetic, but is caused by birth injury and improper maternal care during pregnancy. Our immediate goal is our data collection initiative to organize legal class actions against individual obstetricians guilty of Pitocin abuse, thereby causing traumatic brain injury in babies, leading to autism. Our long term motto is to help find the root cause of autism in every impacted individual creating the single largest registry of individual categories of impact to better channelize the right kind of medical assistance. We will be strong advocates for brain damage recovery research, work to enable research trials and work to bring new treatment possibilities to impacted children and adults when they arise. |
